BASIC OBSERVATIONAL DRAWINGS

The first assignment for intro to drawing was to draw a basic observational drawings of a fruit in a group of 5, the drawings includes a plan view, 2 elevation views and 2 sectional views. The hardest part about this assignment is that we need to finish and compose these 5 drawings in just 2 hours time!

The fruit that was assigned to my group is a starfruit. We quickly captured and emphasized on the obvious characteristics of a starfruit and drew it into our drawings. Although it was a hectic assignment, we all had fun and was very satisfied with the end result.

ASSIGNMENT 1(B)

BASIC ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS

For assignment 1(b), the same group will have to compose a basic orthographic drawings of a furniture in our university campus. It was quite challenging as we have to find a furniture that is not to easy to draw and have a distinctive and unique feature.

We decided to use an armrest chair inside our university's library. The reason why is because we think that the chair's shape is a lot different from the other furniture. After deciding on which furniture to draw, we began to measure the measurements of the furniture to draw it accordingly into our orthographic drawings.

ASSIGNMENT 2

DRAWING BASIC SPACE

Assignment 2 requires us to draw a basic space our university campus. We are told to draw one floor plan, 2 elevation views and 1 section view of the basic space. The basic space that was given to me was the open space of the 8th floor of block C. We need to measure all the furniture and the basic elements of the space to make the drawing precise.

This assignment is very exciting as it takes me one step closer to become an architect and I had learnt a lot of skills and knowledge throughout this assignment.

FINAL ASSIGNMENT

ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS OF A TINY HOUSE PROJECT

The final assignment for the intro to drawing course requires us to draw the spaces and elements for a single storey house in a given space. We need to set the furniture ourselves and the layout for the house.

I personally think that the final assignment is the most favourite assignment throughout this course. The ability to freely design and decide on the layout of a space really helped me to further develop my skills and expand my knowledge.
